Scubapro's S-TEK Pure Back Plate / Wing System is designed for technical divers following the DIR (Doing It Right) approach to streamlined and minimalist gear configurations. For convenience, the system is sold as a set, which includes the Pure Harness with back plate, a 13 kg / 30 lbs Donut wing, and a tank adapter.
- The continuous webbing harness provides a customized, individualized fit.
- Configuration options include a harness with fixed shoulder length for ultimate simplicity or an extender mode that allows the shoulder straps to stretch for easier donning and doffing.
- The waist buckle in stainless steel allows for a complete range of adjustments.
- The 3D-shaped back plate has a softened organic shape, a curved central profile, and rounded edges for improved comfort.
- The EVO Angle enables a more natural routing of the webbing, increasing diver comfort and reducing wear.
- The recessed wing nut receptacle features S-Tek Ergo nuts, ergonomically designed to be used with cold, wet hands and gloves. They are easy to tighten/loosen and are mounted to prevent suit wear. Recessed wing nut receptacles are also compatible with standard wing nuts.
- The back plate provides mounting points for trim weights, an argon tank mounting point, and a convenient built-in carrying handle.
- The branded silicone epaulet on the left shoulder and silicone band hold low-pressure hoses and straps in place.
- Two pre-bent D-rings on the shoulders, one D-ring on the waist, and two D-rings on the crotch strap for attachment/mounting of additional gear.
- The Donut wing is constructed of durable 1000D Cordura on the outside and 500D Cordura on the bladder's inside.
- Improved rounded profile reduces air trapping.
- Each wing has an elliptical EPDM inflation hose and Scubapro's K-style BPI (Low-Pressure Inflator).
- An aluminum tank adapter is included in 13 kg / 30 lbs systems.
